NEW BRAZILIAN CONSULAR SYSTEM

Starting on January 19th, 2010, the Consular Section of the Brazilian Embassy will issue biometric passports for Brazilian nationals and biometric visas for foreign citizens.

Requests must be made online, by filling out the form in the link: https://scedv.serpro.gov.br.

An “unsafe certificate” message may appear in the browser. Please disconsider the message and continue browsing.

New rates:

a) Brazilian Biometric Passport
- Passport issue: RMB 800.00
- Replacement of lost, stolen or damaged passport: RMB 1,600.00

b) Visas for foreign citizens
- Processing of visa via agency or others: RMB 200.00
- Consultation on visa application: RMB 300.00
